KEVIN GORG'S PICKS

Musket Man: Rail was golden at Churchill on Derby Day, and this guy got the worst of it, being forced wide around the far turn before rallying for third. Perfect 7-for-7 in the money for his career, including wins at four different tracks. Sizzling work last Tuesday, so expect he can gun these down late at a square price.

Rachel Alexandra: Her victory in the Oaks by more than 20 lengths was eye-popping to say the least, and this outside post draw should enable her to track Big Drama all the way to the lane. Jockey picks her over the Derby winner, which never has happened in the 134 years of this event. Absolutely the one to beat.

Pioneerof the Nile: Might have been placed a touch too close to that fast opening quarter-mile in the Derby but showed tons of heart to hold on for second money. Trainer has won this event multiple times and is as good as it gets on the Triple Crown trail. One of the ones.

Take the Points: Here is your sneaky bomber for the trifecta and superfecta. This guy should be able to sit just off Big Drama and Rachel Alexandra to secure first run down the lane. Top trainer adds the blinkers for this, and never underestimate a fresh horse facing a field that just ran hard two weeks ago.

Gorg's $100 Preakness play: $20 win-place-show on Musket Man ($60); $10 exacta box: Musket Man /Rachel Alexandra and Pioneerof The Nile ($40).
