  • Lives in: Chicago/Minneapolis
  • Occupation: Producer/DJ, sound engineer, freelance journalist

Q: You're only 19. How long have you been in the game?

A: I have been DJing and producing for four years.

Q: So it's not tricky playing gigs being underage?

A: It was in the beginning. I'm quite good at social engineering, drawing stamps on my hands with Sharpies and army-crawling behind bouncers now.

Q: You also write for a blog called Fashion Verbatim.

A: I curate a weekly "now playing" music section. I hope to start reviewing some menswear, too.

Q: Have you always been interested in fashion?

A: I haven't always been interested in fashion, per se, but I have always really enjoyed trying my best to be well-dressed.

Q: You're originally from Chicago. How do you feel the dance scene in Minneapolis compares?

A: When I first moved here from Chicago, I was not disappointed by the scene at all. We have some great spaces for music and a lot of forward-thinking musicians and DJs.

Q: What else do you like about Minneapolis?

A: No tourists, good food at reasonable prices, really great people, cigarettes are not $10 a pack and, naturally, the fact that there are 2.4 million fewer people than in Chicago.
