SPARTA, Wis. — Sparta police arrested one man and are looking for a second after some teens were illegally tattooed at a downtown apartment.

Officers say they received a tip that some students from the Sparta Alternative Independent Learning School paid between $5 and $30 for tattoos, but didn't have permission from their parents. Police say the minors were ages 16 and 17.

WKBT-TV (http://bit.ly/1l5KAGd ) says a 24-year-old man was arrested and released from the Monroe County Jail. Authorities are still looking for a second man.

Tattooing of children is a Class "D'' forfeiture with a penalty of up to $200.
