COLUMBIA HEIGHTS, Minn. — Authorities say a 16-year-old boy suspected of shooting and wounding his 19-year-old brother in Columbia Heights has turned himself in.
The Anoka County sheriff's office says the boy turned himself in Tuesday at the Hennepin County Juvenile Detention Center. Police picked the boy up and took him to Anoka County, where he remains in custody.
Authorities say the brothers' mother called from the family's duplex around 3:30 p.m. Monday and reported that her son had just shot his older brother.
The victim had non-life-threatening injuries and was taken to Hennepin County Medical Center.
