TOWN OF LINWOOD, Wis. — Sheriff's officials say two University of Wisconsin-Stevens Point students have died in a collision between a motorcycle and a minivan in Portage County.

WAOW-TV (http://bit.ly/1ly1SO2 ) reports 21-year-old Alexander Reeder, of Wisconsin Rapids, and 20-year-old Katherine Axlen, of Mukwonago, were on the motorcycle that crashed in the Town of Linwood late Monday. They were pronounced dead at the scene of the crash. Both were seniors at the university. Deputies say both were wearing helmets.

Authorities say a 41-year-old woman driving the minivan was turning into a driveway and pulled into the path of the motorcycle. The van driver and her 11-year-old son were not hurt.
