Here are three running backs the Vikings are considering for the draft:
THIRD ROUND?
Tre Mason, Auburn: Mason (5-8, 207) ran for 1,816 yards and 23 TDs on 317 carries last season. ESPN draft analyst Mel Kiper Jr. projects him to the Vikings at No. 96 overall.
FOURTH ROUND?
Andre Williams, Boston College: The 6-foot, 231-pounder has a lot of miles on his legs, having carried the ball 704 times in four seasons. But he's as close to a proven commodity as you'll find in the middle of the draft.
FIFTH, SIXTH, SEVENTH ROUND?
Terrance West, Towson: Peterson talked about rushing for 2,500 yards in 2013. West (5-9, 225) actually did it, albeit for an FCS school (2,519 yards, 42 TDs). He's scheduled to visit the Vikings this week.
