ST. AUGUSTA, Minn. — A 6-year-old central Minnesota boy is hospitalized after he was struck by a car while crossing the road to his school bus.

The Stearns County sheriff's office says the crash happened about 7:30 a.m. Monday in St. Augusta.

Authorities say the boy began to cross the county road to his school bus when he was struck by a Pontiac Bonneville.

The boy was taken by ambulance to St. Cloud Hospital, where he was in good condition Monday.

The 60-year-old woman who was driving the car is cooperating with investigators.
