MILWAUKEE — Wisconsin residents are accustomed to cold winters, although this year's series of arctic waves is starting to test people's patience. But some are finding a silver lining.
Michael Comerford is a 33-year-old barista from Milwaukee. He says since he can't control the weather he focuses more on the one thing he can control: a positive attitude.
He says icy weather is also good for business — not on the coldest days, but in the few days later. He says it changes people's perception of cold, so they treat single-digit temperatures like an excuse to go outside.
Don Demet is a Milwaukee attorney. He says a good way to deal with the cold is to bundle up and take a walk. He says the exercise effect makes things feel nicer.
