Weather elsewhere canceling flights in Milwaukee

MILWAUKEE — It's not the numbing cold that's canceled more than three dozen flights at Mitchell International Airport in Milwaukee County.

It's weather elsewhere in the country, particularly on the East Coast where fog has caused visibility issues in the Northeast. Mitchell spokeswoman Pat Rowe (ROH) says it's a combination of severe weather and a "domino effect" that has on flights elsewhere.

Rowe says the subzero temperatures in Wisconsin do have an effect on the tugs that pull the luggage carts. The frigid cold can cause them to break down.
