Lynx at a glance: Maya Moore, who went into Friday’s game leading the WNBA in scoring (22.3 points per game), had an off night against Tulsa, scoring 10 points on 4-of-12 shooting. Rebekkah Brunson and Lindsay Whelan pickedup the slack, combining for 36 points as the Lynx (4-1) beat the Shock 83-74 and extended their winning streak in the series to 12 games. The Lynx, who are fourth in the league in shooting percentage defense, will need to be solid on that end of the floor Wednesday to stop the Mercury’s first-round draft selection, Brittney Griner, who has a league-leading .596 shooting percentage.

Mercury at a glance: Phoenix’s Diana Taurasi has taken over as the league’s leading scorer, and she averages 23 points per game. Add that to Griner’s accuracy from the floor and the 6-8 center’s league-leading 3.2 blocks per game, and the Lynx could have their work cut out for them, especially on the defensive end.
