Viewing parties will be held for Thursday’s 7 p.m. semifinal at several bars and restaurants in St. Cloud, including Brothers, Buffalo Wild Wings, Old Chicago, Green Mill, the House of Pizza (Sartell location, too) and the Blue Line Sports Bar and Grill (Sartell, too). A Twin Cities viewing party will be held at Bunny’s Bar and Grill in St. Louis Park. Those events are open to the public. Prizes will be awarded. A free viewing party for St. Cloud State students, with food, beverages and prizes, will be held on campus at the Atwood Center ballroom.

Hobey Baker Award:

Two Minnesotans — St. Cloud State forward Drew LeBlanc of Hermantown and Quinnipiac goaltender Eric Hartzell of White Bear Lake — join Boston College forward Johnny Gaudreau as finalists for the Hobey Baker Award, given to the top player in NCAA Division I. The winner will be announced Friday at 5 p.m. in a ceremony televised live on the NHL Network and streamed live on www.hobeybakeraward.com.
