J.J. Barea is out on the floor just before the opening tap here in Cleveland tonight, a sign that he'll try to play after sitting out Sunday's game in Memphis because of that foot sprain.
He was out on the court last night, too, but went to the locker room about five minutes before opening tip and didn't play.
Instead, he iced down the foot for most of the first quarter, then came out to the bench to cheer his teammates for the rest of the game when he said the foot wasn't nearly healed enough to let him play.
Without him, the Wolves have just three healthy guards, which makes it problematic to play that three-guard lineup Rick Adelman likes so much.
"We just have to watch him," Adelman said. "We can't get to a point where he hurts it more. He'd like to try to play, but he has to let us know."
The last time these two teams played -- back in December -- both team's point guards (Ricky Rubio and first-time All Star Kyrie Irving) were out injured.
