The damage has been done. The overnight snow created slick conditions and that has slowed traffic throughout the entire rush hour.
Motorist are going nowhere fast, with drive times two and three times as long as usual.
Driver on northbound 35 are barely moving from Elko all the way to downtown Minneapolis. That's more than an hour.
On southbound 35W, it's 49 minutes from 95th Avenue to Hennepin Avenue in Minneapolis.
On westbound 94, it's an hour from the Hudson Bridge to downtown St. Paul, and another 25 to reach downtown Minneapolis. A crash blocking the left shoulder at Hiawatha Avenue is adding to the misery.
Southbound 35E is crammed from County Road 14 to downtown St. Paul. That's a 53 minute drive.
Other crashes include one at eastbound 694 at Long Lake Road and westbound 494 at Portland Avenue.
