A new day

A soap opera star is changing teams. Steve Burton, who won an Emmy on "General Hospital," left that show last October after 21 years in the role of Jason Morgan. Now he's joining the cast of "The Young and the Restless" (11 a.m., WCCO, Ch. 4), portraying an ex-soldier with a deep secret. I'm guessing the secret is that he stole a lot of tongue depressors from "General Hospital."

Motor mouth

Henry Ford may have helped start a new American revolution, but in this new edition of "American Experience" (8 p.m., TPT, Ch. 2) we discover the carmaker never really appreciated his success or his only son, Edsel. Director Sarah Colt gives us a film that's both inspirational and darkly sad.

Like peas in a pod

The latest podcasters hoping to make a splash on ol' fashioned TV are gal pals Nikki Glaser, a semifinalist on "Last Comic Standing" while still in college, and Sara Schaefer, who won two Emmys for her work on "Late Night With Jimmy Fallon." They'll feature celebrity interviews, person-on-the-street interviews and gossip on "Nikki & Sara LIVE" (10 p.m. MTV)
