Late Friday: Huskies beat UND, in 1st alone

• ST. CLOUD STATE 3, NORTH DAKOTA 1: Freshman Jonny Brodzinski scored two goals, St. Cloud State held North Dakota to 16 shots on goal as the Huskies won Friday night in Grand Forks. The Huskies have won six consecutive WCHA games. Brodzinski and Ben Hanowski scored first-period goals for the Huskies. Rocco Grimaldi scored UND's lone goal.

• NEBRASKA OMAHA 5, BEMIDJI STATE 3: Matt White had two goals and an assist and Jaycob Megna had a goal and an assist as the Mavericks held off the host Beavers.

• WISCONSIN 5, ALASKA ANCHORAGE 2: Michael Mersch scored two goals and added an assist as the Badgers beat the Seawolves in Madison, Wis. Blake Tatchell and Scott Allen scored for the Seawolves.

MINNESOTA DULUTH 3, U18 U.S. NATIONAL TEAM 1: The Bulldogs scored one goal every period Saturday and outshot the visiting U.S. national team 34-25 in their exhibition victory. Justin Crandall had a goal and an assist for UMD. Mike Seidel and Caleb Hebert had the Bulldogs' other goals. Michael McCarron scored the U.S. team's goal on a power play.
