A man who fell into a coma after being shot in the chest in St. Paul last month died Monday.

Michael R. Henderson, 46, and two other men were shot Sept. 21 in the 500 block of Thomas Av. after a dispute with neighbors.

A fourth victim was grazed by a bullet but did not seek medical attention.

Jonathan J. Corbett, 18, was charged in Ramsey County District Court last week with attempted second-degree murder and two counts of second-degree assault in the case.

The county attorney's office will review those charges in light of Henderson's death.

According to the charges: A woman was at a neighbor's house when a man inside, Carl A. Wilks, badmouthed her friend. The woman told him to stop, and Wilks allegedly threatened to kill her. Corbett also was in the residence at the time.

Her fiancé and relatives arrived to retrieve her, but Wilks and Corbett allegedly pointed guns at the group. The woman was eventually allowed to retreat to a house across the street.

Later that day, Wilks went to that home to speak with Henderson, the charges said. Wilks walked Henderson to the sidewalk, followed by other men. That's when Corbett allegedly shot at the victims.

Henderson's death, in the Thomas-Dale neighborhood, is the city's 13th homicide this year.

Wilks was charged last week with kidnapping and two counts of second-degree assault for his role in the incident.
