TWINS UPDATE

Justin Morneau is hitless in his past 15 at-bats and stranded seven runners on base Sunday. ... With Samuel Deduno out (left eye inflammation) the Twins are deciding between Anthony Swarzak and Brian Duensing for Tuesday's start. Duensing threw 1 2/3 innings of scoreless relief Saturday; Swarzak has been solid and pitched at least three innings in his past two appearances.

BLUE JAYS UPDATE

Toronto is 27-46 since the All-Star break. Edwin Encarnacion ranks third in the American League with 42 home runs, but he left Sunday's 9-6 loss to the Yankees with tightness in his left shoulder and neck. ... Rookie infielder Adeiny Hechevarria went 0-for4, ending his 10-game hitting streak. ... Aaron Laffey, a former Indians pitcher, is 5-2 with a 4.57 ERA against the Twins in 17 games, including nine starts.
