Less than a day after an Amber Alert was issued for a missing Fridley girl, she was found in Minneapolis Saturday.
Police found 4-year-old Anastasia Jones unharmed about 12:30 p.m., said Janell Rasmussen, Amber Alert coordinator for the state Bureau of Criminal Apprehension.
The girl was found with her non-custodial mother and the mother's boyfriend. The mother, Miracle Angel Flowers, 19, recently had lost her parental rights to Anastasia. She had taken her daughter from Hennepin County Medical Center where Anastasia was visiting. Flowers and her boyfriend were arrested.
The Amber Alert was issued at 4:30 p.m. Friday describing the girl and the car her mother was driving. The car was found abandoned a few hours later, Rasmussen said. The alert was broadcast on highway electronic billboards and in the media.
It was the first Amber Alert this year and the 22nd since the public notification program was started in 2002.
