Mike Hoeffel has signed an entry-level contract with the New Jersey Devils, the team reported on its website.
The 21-year-old winger played four seasons for the Gophers. He was the Devils' second-round choice (57th overall) in 2007.
Hoeffel had 13 goals and 11 assists this past season.
The Devils also signed Alaska (Fairbanks) defenseman Joe Sova.
Terms were not announced.
