With a weekend of political conventions completed and the candidate filing deadline approaching, hopefuls of all stripes will be jockeying for attention on Monday.

At 8:00 am, newly endorsed Republican U.S. Senate candidate Mike McFadden, gubernatorial candidate Jeff Johnson and other GOP endorsed candidates will appear at the Capitol's State Office Building to file for office and meet with the press at 8:30 a.m. They will then kick off a statewide tour.

At 10 a.m., Democratic-Farmer-Labor candidates for the Minnesota House will gathered together to file for office in the same place.

Just a half an hour later, at 10:30 a.m. Republican primary candidate for governor Marty Seifert will show up with his running mate, Rep. Pam Myhra, at the State Office Building to file for office.

And at 11 a.m., Republican primary candidate for governor Scott Honour will take his place, with his running mate, Sen. Karin Housley, to file his paper work.
