Authorities in St. Louis County said Sunday that they have arrested a 19-year-old suspect in the homicide of 20-year-old Jaysen Greenwood, whose body was found Thursday near a former mine on the Iron Range.

The body was found by a person walking near Mott Pit, southwest of Mountain Iron, Minn.

Sgt. Luke Hendrickson said the suspect was arrested "without incident" about 8:45 p.m. Saturday. He is expected to be charged Tuesday or possibly Wednesday.

The sergeant said he couldn't comment on a motive for the homicide but said the suspect "had limited contact with law enforcement." Hendrickson said he could not comment on whether there was any significance to where the body was found.

Greenwood's Facebook page does not appear to have been updated since October 2014. At that time, he was living in Hibbing, Minn., working at Hardee's and had a girlfriend.

Anyone with information about the death is asked to call the St. Louis County Sheriff's Office at 218-742-9825.
