We have several years of firsthand experience with the Mayo Clinic in Rochester and Cleveland Clinic in Ohio. We live in St. Paul for seven months each year and in Ohio the other five. The Cleveland Clinic is very good, but the Mayo Clinic is much better. In fact, there's no comparison. So reading the swipe at Mayo in the March 3 Letter of the Day took us aback. The letter writer provided no supporting information for his assessment of Mayo's loss of status, or any indication that he had been served by this clinic or the others he mentions. We're grateful for Mayo and the medical technology it's advancing.
