With regard to the "offensive" name of Lake Calhoun ("Could 'chain of lakes' be Isles, Harriet -- Humphrey?", May 21). Why not just cut to the chase? It should quite simply be renamed Lake PC. Problem solved.

We need to learn from our mistakes, folks. We used to have a couple of things named for Hubert H. Humphrey around here, and it didn't go well. Let's take a tip from the Metropolitan Airports Commission and change the names of Lake Calhoun and Lake Harriet to Lake 1 and Lake 2.
