Bernie Sanders' campaign chief is vowing his candidate will stay in the Democratic race until the convention, even as Hillary Clinton looks to lock down her commanding position for the party's nomination with a strong performance in a five-state round of contests Tuesday. Clinton has the chance of a clean sweep or at least multiple victories that would probably foreclose Sanders' already narrow path to the nomination. But the Vermont senator's campaign manager, Jeff Weaver, said the millions of dollars flowing to Sanders and the big rallies show that his "supporters will stand with us all the way to the end."

Donald Trump has agreed to appear on Fox News Channel anchor Megyn Kelly's prime-time broadcast special on May 17. It will be Kelly's first sit-down with the front-runner for the 2016 Republican presidential nomination since Trump announced his candidacy. It has been nearly a year since she interviewed Trump, who has been a frequent guest on other Fox News programs. Trump declared war on Fox's prime-time star after the first GOP primary debate Aug. 6. During that event, Kelly pressed Trump on his history of making derogatory comments about women. The candidate responded angrily in later interviews and attacked Kelly with harsh tweets about her journalistic abilities.

Carly Fiorina is being vetted as a potential vice presidential pick by Texas Sen. Ted Cruz, a Fiorina aide said Monday. Fiorina, 61, has been an active supporter of Cruz since shortly after she ended her own presidential bid in February, frequently introducing him at events and fundraisers. Cruz's campaign manager tweeted that aides had begun vetting possible picks, but he didn't name any. Fiorina has never held elected office.

Donald Trump hired his third campaign manager of a former rival, adding another veteran political operative to help fight for the delegates needed to clinch the nomination. Ken McKay joins as a senior adviser working on the team led by Trump convention manager Paul Manafort. Earlier in the presidential race, McKay served as campaign manager to New Jersey Gov. Chris Christie, who dropped out and endorsed Trump in February. A week and a half ago, Trump picked up Rick Wiley, who managed Scott Walker's campaign before the Wisconsin governor left the race in September. And in late March, he snagged Ed Brookover, who was Ben Carson's campaign manager until the neurosurgeon dropped out.
