His wife, children and children's spouses remember Gordon as a role model of goodwill with a kind and captivating sense of humor. He is our legacy of doing right by mankind, fairness in competition, creative problem solving and courage to try the new. He's made us think, laugh, cry and love. His grandchildren call him "Goey" and will never forget his optimistic spirit, his huge laugh and his grandfatherly interest in every aspect of their lives. We love you, "Goey." An informal service will be held at Friendship Village, 8106 Highwood Drive, Bloomington at 3:30 Wednesday, September 2. Donations may be made in the name of The Peter Kendall Smith Fund and sent to the Peter K. Smith Fund, 15 West Division Street, Faribault, MN 55021 or donor's choice. This fund is used to promote and develop youth baseball in the city of Faribault of which Gordon was a steadfast supporter. Peter who was physically challenged was Gordon's brother-in-law and loved baseball as much as he loved Gordon, his best friend.
