Schwaab, Wilfred C. (Bud) age 90, passed away July 3, 2015. Visitation will be held from 6:00 - 8:00 pm with a Rosary at 7:30 pm, Wednesday, July 8, 2015 at Park Lawn Funeral Home 8251 Hillcrest Road, Kansas City, MO. Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10:00 am, Thursday, July 9 at St. Matthew Apostle Catholic Church 8001 Longview Road, Kansas City, MO. Interment with military honors will follow at Mt. Moriah Cemetery. Please no flowers. Memorial contributions may be given to organizations of your choice or to St. Matthew Apostle Catholic Church. Bud was born March 25, 1925 in Minneapolis, MN, the eldest of Carl S. Schwaab and Frances (Mueller) Schwaab, both deceased. He was a combat veteran of WWII serving from 1943 to 1946 in 3 campaigns with the 11th Armored Division, 3rd Army, in the ETO. His career with the U.S. Department of Agriculture was 38 years with positions in Minneapolis, Chicago and Kansas City. He retired in 1980. In 1981 he married his beloved wife Beverly J. Krekel who preceded him in death. Bud enjoyed golf as a member of Hillcrest Country Club, since 1967, and of the KC Senior Golf Association. He is survived by his children from his first marriage; sons Paul C. Schwaab (Laurel), Shawnee, KS, John M. Schwaab (Lynn), LaGrange Park, IL, daughters; Kathy A. Miller (Bob, deceased), Humansville, MO, Mary K. Fletcher, K.C., MO, Ann M. Cronkhite, Austin, TX, and Carol T. Helm (Ron), Olathe, KS. Bev's son Eric Krekel (Peggy), Hartsburg, MO, also survives, as do 10 grandchildren. Bud's siblings that survive are all in the Minneapolis, MN. area. They are: brothers, Richard (Mary) and Charles Schwaab, sisters, Rita Snider (Chuck, deceased), and Mary Ann Martin (Tony). There are many nieces and nephews who survive; as well as the friends from the "old gang". Bud remembers all of you and the "good times".
