Blackmur, Robert W. age 86, died January 14. Beloved brother, uncle, friend, neighbor and teacher. Bob taught Shakespeare and English literature at Washburn High School in Minneapolis for 11 years, then worked on a doctorate at the University of Minnesota. In 1978 he moved to Emmitsburg, Maryland to work as assistant to the President of Mount St. Mary's, then assistant to the Provost. Bob retired to Minneapolis in 1996 and subsequently spent 8 years as substitute teacher at Academy of Holy Angels, where he was also involved in many school activities. Survived by sister, Kathie Donohue; niece, Alina Trowbridge; nephew, Ned Trowbridge; and nephews, Shawn Donohue and Dennis Donohue. Memorial service at Judson Memorial Baptist Church, 4100 Harriet Avenue South on Saturday, January 31st, 11:00 a.m. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the Student Scholarships Fund at Academy of Holy Angels, 6600 Nicolet Avenue South, Minneapolis, Minnesota 55423.
