Gabriel Dominic Johnson Ortiz

Johnson Ortiz, Gabriel Dominic age 34, of Saint Paul, died peacefully at home Sat Jan 17, after a 4-1/2 year struggle with brain cancer. Loved and missed by his parents, brother, sister, and extended family, Gabriel's joy in life and commitment to justice touched innumerable people's lives. Two Celebration of Life events: Fri, Jan 30, 6:30-10 pm, a Community gathering and potluck, poetry, music and stories at Bethany Church basement, 2511 Franklin Ave, Minneapolis 55406; Sat, Jan 31, 10 AM service at Saint Paul-Reformation Lutheran, 100 North Oxford Street, Saint Paul 55104. Visitation 9AM, luncheon following the service. Memorial contributions welcome to Black Lives Matter Minneapolis, MIRAc, Cloudforest Initiatives, or CTUL.
