Davids Anna Margaret Davids, 98, of Clearbrook, MN died June 11, 2005 at Good Samaritan Center in Clearbrook, MN. Funeral Services will be held on Friday, June 17, 2005 at 11 AM at the Samhold Lutheran Church in Gonvick, MN with the Reverend Eric Midthun officiating. Visitation will be on Thursday, June 16, 2005 from 5 PM until 7 PM at the Cease Family Funeral Home in Bagley with a family service at 7 PM and one hour prior to the services at the church. Interment will be Samhold Lutheran Cemetery of Gonvick, MN. She was born December 5, 1906, in rural Stephen, MN, the daughter of Henry and Helena Hoper. She attended Happy Corner School outside Stephen, Minnesota in 1925. Anna graduated from the School of Agriculture at Crookston, Minnesota, where she met Robert Davids from Bagley, Minnesota. They married on June 25, 1926. They farmed south of Bagley at Summit Farm for 7 years where their four children were born. Robert and Anna moved to Hallock, MN, Williams, MN, St. Paul, MN, Fargo, ND and farmed north of Gonvick, MN. Robert and Anna spent several years in Greece representing church World Service and some time in Alaska gold mining and traveled extensively. Anna loved gardening and cooking. The food was always good and there was plenty of it. She was devoted to her family and loved by everybody. She is survived by her four children: Robert (Audrey) Davids of Gonvick, MN, Charles Davids of Gully, MN, Helene (Don) West of Ashland, WI, Reita (Rey) Erickson of Burnsville, MN; 19 grandchildren, Laura, Amy, Daniel, Elizabeth and James Davids; Susan, Grace, Billy and Eddie Davids; Philip, Stephen, Nathan, Mari, Martin, and Rachel West; John, Kristie, Paul, and Emily Erickson. She has 57 great-grandchildren and 5 great-great-grandchildren. Anna was preceded in death by her parents, husband, Robert, five brothers and one sister, and a daughter-in-law, Luvern Davids.
