Bonshire, Robert Lloyd Jr. of Fredericksburg, VA, died on Dec. 4, 2014. Born on Nov. 17, 1935, in Muncie, Indiana to Inez (Shockley) and Robert Bonshire Sr., Bob was a graduate of Muncie Central High School. Bob earned a Bachelor of Arts degree in Education from Ball State Teachers College and was awarded a Master of Arts degree in Guidance and Counseling from Ball State University in Muncie. His first job was teaching English and journalism at New Albany (Indiana) and Columbus (Indiana) high schools. Bob served as a Special Agent with the Federal Bureau of Investigation from March 1970 (NAC 14) until November 1992. He worked in the Minneapolis Division, the Newark Division, and in Quantico at the FBI's National Academy. His Minneapolis duties included general investigations, and working in Organized Crime; he also served as a photographer, police instructor, and recruiter. He worked the Wounded Knee and Red Lake investigations and also was the Bureau's liaison to Drug Enforcement Administration agents with the Minnesota Vikings, Twins, and North Stars. Bob is survived by his wife of 22 years, Linda Jeanne, sons Reid (Leslie) of Eagan, MN; Todd (Natalie) of Warrenton VA; and Devin Wright of Charlotte, NC. His surviving grandchildren are Nathanial, Dominik, Nikolai, and Olivia. Survivors also include his sister Jama Cashdollar and her daughter, Sarah Hendrix; sisters Bonnie Lou Bonshire Cowan (John), Betty Lou Arabia; and brothers Rollin Leo Bonshire (Margie), and Leonard Hasse (Daryl). A memorial service will take place at 2 p.m. Friday, Dec. 12, at Fredericksburg United Methodist Church.
