Durda, Mary Cristine of Golden Valley, died peacefully on December 2, 2014 surrounded by her children. She was preceded in death by her husband, The Honorable Chester Durda, son John Durda (FL), her parents and siblings. She is survived by her remaining children: daughter: Stephanie (Scott) Feldmann of Inverness IL, and sons, Michael of Ventura, CA; Thomas (Juli) of Carver MN; James (Colleen) of Eden Prairie, MN; 12 Grandchildren, 4 Great Grandchildren, relatives and friends, and her long-time caregivers, Rita and Agnes. Mary was the beloved Matriarch of the family, a devoted Mother and Grandmother. Her life and loyalty to family was an example to everyone. She lived in Mpls her entire life; loved the city, it's Arts, it's Orchestra, Theatre and Opera. Mary was also an avid golfer and volunteer. Funeral Services: Tuesday Dec. 9th: The Basilica of St. Mary Hennepin Ave at 17th St., Mpls. - 10:30 AM Rosary - 11 AM Visitation - Noon Mass - 1 PM Luncheon Friends may also visit Monday evening at Washburn-McReavy, West 50th St. and Vernon Ave at Hwy 100, 5-7 PM.
