Parsons, Irene Kramer age 90, passed away peacefully on November 5th. Preceded in death by husband, Kenneth; parents, Arnold and Rose Kramer; brother, Myron Kramer; sisters Fern Brey and Florence Johanneck. Survived by children Greg (Sita) Parsons, Chuck (Sheila) Parsons, Nick (Kelly) Parsons, Jane Windmeier and their families; sister, Marie Johanneck. In addition to being a mother, grandmother, great grandmother, aunt, sister, and friend to many - she was a writer and artist, sharing her creative talents with family and friends. She attended St. Catherine's University and authored the book, Columbia Heights Bootstrap Town: A Social History. She loved to dance, read, and tell a good joke! She was always ready for an adventure, skydiving on her 85th birthday. Irene was born in Seaforth, MN and never forgot her roots. In nearby Redwood Falls, she met Kenneth and they raised their family in Columbia Heights, MN, teaching their children to swim, boat, and love the outdoors on the banks of Silver Lake. Irene was an active member of the United Methodist Church in Columbia Heights until her move to Anoka in 2013. Irene will be missed, but her legacy lives on. Rest in Peace. Memorial service November 24, 10 AM at Community United Methodist Church, 950 Gould Ave NE, Columbia Heights, MN. Family burial in Seaforth, MN on November 24th, 4 PM.
