Gardner, Linda Sue age 61 of Maple Grove, MN died October 19, 2014 after a courageous four year battle with Ovarian Cancer. Linda was the beloved wife of Gary E. Gardner and they were married for forty years on October 11, 2014. Linda was preceded in death by her mother Delma Lipe, father Billy Lipe, her grandparents and her grandson Ryan Patrick Meunier. Linda died peacefully surrounded by her loving family and is survived by Gary, daughter Brenna (Joseph), son Christopher (Kristin), sister Kathy (Ken) and grandchildren Penelope, Corbin and Parker. Linda fought this disease with every ounce of her energy and never once complained or felt sorry for herself. She was more concerned with her husband, children and grandchildren than herself. In her memory the family will be planting a Wild Flower Memorial Garden at their lake home in Pequot Lakes. She will be part of every flower, butterfly, bee, dragon fly, lightning bug and humming bird. Every spring the blooming of the garden will be a perpetual reminder of her life, her love of nature and her giving spirit. The memorial service, celebration of her life and reception will be held on Tuesday October 28 at Lord of Life Lutheran Church, 7401 County Road 101 in Maple Grove, MN at 11:00 AM. Visitation will start one hour before the service. Interment will immediately follow the service at the columbarium at Lord of Life Church. Memorials preferred to Minnesota Ovarian Cancer Alliance or Heifer International for protection of honey bees. Linda was a wonderful woman full of what the scripture calls the fruits of the Spirit: Love, Joy, Peace, Patience, Kindness, Goodness and Faithfulness. She will be deeply missed by her family and friends. Gearty-Delmore 763-553-1411 gearty-delmore.com
