Hausske, Rev. Trevor A. Age 91, of Minneapolis, died on September 7, 2014. Trevor was born to hospital administrator missionaries in Taiku, Shansi Province, China in 1923. He was educated at the North China American School. He returned to the U.S. in 1941, graduated from Pacific University, Forest Grove, Oregon, and later, from Yale Divinity School. Trevor married Dorothy Lee Davidson in 1947 and had three children, Kris, Clark and Evie. He served as minister at the Sayville (New York) United Church of Christ from 1961-1989. Dorothy Lee died in 1978, his son Clark in 1993. In 1984, he married Marjean Postlethwaite of Minneapolis. He retired from the Sayville church in 1989 and moved to Minneapolis, where he served as Chaplain of Jones-Harrison Residence for the next ten years. Throughout his career, Trevor emphasized civil rights and inclusiveness. He worked on voter registration in Mississippi, met Martin Luther King in New York, and was on the National Mall in Washington for Dr. King's "I Have a Dream Speech." Trevor loved Cape Cod, photography and spending time with family. He is survived by his wife, two daughters, Kristine Rose of West Haven, Connecticut and Evie Fuson of Lake Oswego, Oregon, stepchildren Diana, David and Martha Postlethwaite of Minnesota, ten grandchildren and four great-grandchildren (with two more on the way). A celebration of Trevor's life will be held on Sunday, September 14 at 3:00 pm at First Congregational Church of Minnesota, United Church of Christ, 500 8th Avenue SE, Minneapolis.
