Lucille Fugina

Fugina, Lucille Age 89, of Roseville, died peacefully on July 5, 2014, surrounded by her children. Lucille was born in Rush City, MN on June 22, 1925. She graduated from Rush City High School in 1943. She then moved to St. Paul and worked as a secretary. She married Rudy Fugina in 1948 and they had 5 children (Tim, Jeff, Pat, Nancy, Jack). The family lived in St. Paul and Roseville, and Lucille later lived in Shoreview. After her husband's sudden death in 1969, she worked at the Minnesota Pollution Control Agency until retiring in 1990. She resided at EagleCrest Assisted Living Facility in Roseville during the last decade of her life. Preceded in death by husband Rudy Fugina, grandson Tommy Fugina, parents Roy & Inez Olson, brother Myron Olson, and sister-in-law Geraldine Olson. Survived by her 5 children and 9 grandchildren: Tim Fugina (Linda), Shannon, Dan (Katie), Greg; Jeff Fugina (Sherry Kimmons); Pat Fugina (Sue), Beth (Neil Schott), Blaze, Callie, Garrett; Nancy Fugina (Gary Schukar), Danika Schukar, Tad Schukar; and Jack Fugina. Also survived by brothers and sisters-in-law: Lester & Katherine Olson, Gene Olson, Audrey Olson; nieces and nephews, other extended family, and friends. Lucille's family is deeply grateful to the staff at EagleCrest for giving Lucille excellent and compassionate care during the later years of her life. Private Memorial Service and Life Celebration on July 18. Interment at Fort Snelling National Cemetery. Cremation Society of Minnesota. Memorials preferred to Alzheimer's Research Center.
