Christenson, Diane A. age 81, of Minneapolis, passed away on Dec 11, 2017 after a long battle with Alzheimer's. Preceded in death by parents, Melvin & Nella "Amy" Angrimson; sister, Vera (Arvid) Kvanli; brothers, Vernon Angrimson & Ellsworth (Mary Jo) Angrimson; brother-in-law George Poirier. Diane was born September 2, 1936 on a farm near Watson, MN, eventually moving to Montevideo where she graduated from high school and met Chris. A year later, they moved to Brookings, SD while Chris attended college at SDSU. In 1962, they settled in Minneapolis where they raised their family. Diane was very creative and inspired those around her. She started woodworking in her 50s, starting her own successful craft business. When she was not crafting, she was spending time spoiling her grandchildren. Survived by husband, Helmer "Chris"; sister, Leona Poirier; sister-in-law, Mary Lou Angrimson, daughters, Deb Christenson & Sue Nack, grandchildren, Sarah (Tanner) Dayhoff, Christopher (Megan) Roth, Anni Christenson, Emily Nack & Kate Nack, great-grandchildren, Madison Dayhoff & Riley Dayhoff. Thank you to Mt Olivet Careview Home and Health Partners Hospice for taking such good care of Diane and providing so much wonderful support to her family through this difficult time. Funeral service Monday 11 am at Mt Olivet Lutheran Church (5025 Knox Ave. S., Minneapolis) with visitation one-hour prior. Interment at Lakewood Cemetery.
