Gleason, Stephen A. Age 86, of St. Paul on December 9, 2017. Korean War Veteran and retired District Chief for the St. Paul Fire Department. After retirement, Steve took up oil painting that now decorates the homes of many family and friends. He was an avid bird watcher, reader, and enjoyed travel adventures with Kitty. He is preceded in death by his beloved wife Kathryn "Kitty". He is survived by his children, Mark (Shelley), Joe, Jack (Cristin), Michael (Mette), Mary (Dennis) Tague, Vicky (Shawn) Larson, Ginny, and Marilyn; twelve grandchildren and seven great-grand-children; sister, Joan Ryan and brother, Tom (LaVerne); sister-in-law, Celine (Jim) Graham and brother-in-law, Dan (Kathie) Kludt. Thank you dad for leaving us a legacy of love and humor. Mass of Christian Burial 10 AM Thursday, December 28th at St. Mark's Catholic Church (2001 Dayton Ave, St. Paul). Visitation one hour prior to Mass at church Thursday. Interment with honors at Fort Snelling National Cemetery. Memorials preferred to Our Lady of Peace Hospice in St. Paul.
