Lindholm, Paul E. Age 89, of Fergus Falls, Minn. He died Dec. 2, 2017, in Fergus Falls of Lewy body dementia. Born June, 23, 1928, to Helen and David Lindholm on his grandfather Peter Lindholm's homestead farm near Ortonville, Minn. Already at age 13, Paul hauled cattle on his own to South St. Paul Paul, sold them, and brought calves back home. He was Chairman of the American Bankers Assn. Agriculture Committee in the 1980s and Chairman of the Minnesota Bankers Assn. in the 1990s. His mission was to help farmers and communities reach their financial potential. After banking careers in Madelia, Blue Earth and Clarkfield, he acquired Security State Bank of Fergus Falls in 1988 and sold it to his son Steve in 2012. He went on many mission trips and gave generously to those in need. He loved to tell his story to others, and he loved including the story of Jesus in those conversations. Paul was preceded in death by his wife, Ruth, in 2015 and brother Stanley in 2017. Survivors include his children, Rebecca of Minneapolis, Steve (Mary Jane) of Excelsior, John (Patricia) of Fergus Falls, and Matthew (Meg) of Fargo; grandchildren, Sarah, Melissa (Alex), Erik (Stephanie), Sophia, Nicholas, and Gabe & Lucia; great-grandchidren, Riley and Nora; brothers, Loren and John; sister, Lorraine Ryberg, and many other relatives and friends. Services were held Saturday at Bethel Lutheran Church in Fergus Falls, arrangements by Olson Funeral Home of Fergus Falls. Burial in Swedish Mission Cemetery on the Lindholm family farm near Ortonville.
