Silverman, Artice Ellen Golden Valley, passed away on December 5, 2017, at the age of 80 after suffering from Alzheimer's disease. Preceded in death by parents, Louis and Celia Marofsky. Survived by loving husband of 59 years, Mort Silverman; sister, Dr. Jacqueline Royce; children, David (Chaya), Dan (Bertha), Debra (Avi) and Diana (Gil); grandchildren, Chani, Miri, Ra'aya, Kobi, Gavi, Daniella, Leib, Shira, Shoshana, Nechama, Asher, Yair, Moshe, Bat Nadiv, Yitzhak, Shlomo and Bracha. Artie was a beloved and devoted friend to so many. She took care of, and responsibility for family members near and far. She embraced many hobbies: gardening, camping, travel (she walked on all 7 continents!), cooking, reading, theater, music, art, singing, skiing, tennis, biking and spending time with family. Artie loved talking with people and sharing her talents with many organizations through volunteering and leadership. She actively supported her husband Mort in his professional and community endeavors. Her love of Jewish values and Israel was apparent in all she did. She will be remembered for her twinkling eyes, bright smile and the kind words and actions that filled each day.
