Kathleen Ada Allen

Allen, Kathleen Ada Kathleen was born July 7th, 1940 in Darlington England. She passed away peacefully on Saturday, November 25, 2017 in Shakopee MN at the age of 77. A private family service was held on Thursday, November 30, 2017 at Mount Olivet Church in Minneapolis. Kathleen and John came to the United States 50 years ago, and were very proud to become citizens in 1976. Kathleen devoted her entire life to her family, from working as a beautician to put John through school, to never missing one of the children's or grandchildren's activities. Her family was always her greatest source of joy and happiness. She was always positive, never complained about anything. She enjoyed a good cup of tea, black & white movies and butterflies. Kathleen is survived by, and holds a special place in the hearts of her three children, Sheridan (Rich) Hafdal, Shona (Mike) LaSalle and Phillip (Kelly) Allen; grandchildren, John Hafdal, Ashley (Jack) Pexa, Brandon (Erin) LaSalle, Sydney Allen and Whitney Allen; family in England; brother, George (Maureen) Upex; niece, Carol (Colin) Dunn and many other nieces and nephews. She is preceded in death by her husband John Allen. The family would to thank the staff at Abbott Northwestern Hospital, Sister Kenney, St. Francis Hospital and St. Gertrude's for all of your care during Kathleen's time.
