Bazinet, Edward R Died November 20, 2017 at St Luke's Hospital in NYC. On November 26 he would have been 74. It is impossible to imagine life without Ed....he was one in a million! His legendary energy, creative gifts, generosity, business acumen, leadership and love of life (especially holidays). Ed had a rich and wonderful life until the last several years when physical and emotional struggles took a toll on his health. Ed's best years were spent with Tom and his work family at Dept. 56, the company he founded in partnership with the Bachman family. He was never happier, more engaged, creative and more fulfilled than during that time. He will forever be remembered and loved by his three sisters, Kathy Martin, Cheryl Bazinet and Maureen Bazinet Beck and their respective husbands, Richard, Doug and Peter; his nephews Shawn Sweeney and Sam Beck and nieces Alexis Ackman and Natalie Bazinet Locketz; his husband Brett Jordan and his dog Hudson; his staff, Rosa Gucciardo, Nik Sefa and Luiza Oliveira, who have always been much more than staff, and countless friends, colleagues and extended family that Ed's life touched. We can be comforted knowing Ed is no longer struggling and is at peace. However, as one of Ed's friends wrote: "I only hope God is ready for a remodeling project and a new line of halos". A celebration of Ed's life will be held on April 21 from 4-7 PM at the Walker Art Center Skyline Room in Mpls. Memorials preferred to the Minneapolis Sculpture Garden and should be sent to the Walker Art Center at 725 Vineland Place, Mpls MN 55403.
