Peine, Thomas John Tom's 11-year battle with early onset Alzheimer's ended on 11/11 at age 71. He is survived by his loving wife Joan and children, Joshua (Rebecca) and Jessica (Charlie) and his amazing grandchildren, Marit, Aria and Brandon. Tom was a Mechanical Engineer, Vice President/Project Manager for Michaud, Cooley, Erickson until he retired. He managed many projects in the Twin Cities, including the Ordway and Guthrie Theaters. He was highly respected by fellow employees for his work ethic and his great sense of humor. He was an avid sports participant enjoying baseball, softball, golf, bowling and fishing. He was a wonderful husband and such a proud, supportive father to his children. He will be missed by the many people whose lives he touched both professionally and personally. His family would like to thank his caregivers and the staff at Keystone Place at LaValle Fields in Hugo who provided the love, kindness and dignity that he deserved. Thanks also to Hospice of Allina who cared for him additionally in the end. A private service will take place in the Chapel at the Basilica of Saint Mary on December 2nd at noon, followed by a celebration of Tom's life at 1:30 PM at Manning's Restaurant, 2200 Como Ave. SE Mpls.
