Ludwig, Michael age 70, formerly of Richfield, MN, passed away September 25, 2017, in Monroe, Washington. He bravely fought his battle with Parkinson's disease. Mike was born on November 24, 1946, in Joplin, MO. He graduated from Richfield High School in 1964 and was a member of Richfield's 1963 State Championship Football Team. In 1968, he graduated with honors from the U of MN Institute of Technology in Aeronautical Engineering pursuing his dream career at Boeing in Seattle, WA, as a stability and control engineer. His expertise and experience were highly regarded by his superiors and peers. Mike was admired by his family and friends as a caring person who wanted to make a difference in the world. Mike was a man of great faith and reached out to help many people. He was preceded in death by his father, Frank and sister, Carol Lynn. Mike is survived by his wife Jean (Monroe, WA), mother Donna (Richfield, MN), brother Gregory (Deborah), 2 nephews Scott (Missy) and Stephen (Jennifer) and 1 niece Maren (Joshua) Thielen and their families. A memorial service will be held at the Southview SDA Church 5750 Wentworth Ave S, Minneapolis, MN at 5:30 PM on Saturday, November 4, 2017. A memorial service will be held in Monroe, Washington, on November 11, 2017. Memorials to donor's choice.
