King, John Leonard age 69, of Edina passed away on October 16, 2017, after a courageous battle with dementia. John was a 1965 graduate of Edina High School and attended the University of Minnesota. He was a life-long runner and sports enthusiast. He enjoyed a long career in sales as a manufacturers' representative and volunteered in many roles. He was an usher at Mount Olivet Lutheran Church, served on the church council at Immanuel Lutheran Church in Pepin, WI and as a group leader for Bible Study Fellowship. His wonderful sense of humor will be remembered by all who knew him. Special thanks to NC Little Hospice for their loving care. Survived by wife, Sally, sister, Carol Fontaine (AZ), brother, Jim King (MN), daughters Gretchen King (Kaveh Mirfakhraie), Megan (Stuart) Nutting, Margaret (Christopher) Davis and 12 grandchildren. Celebration of Life at 10:30 AM on Thursday Oct. 26th at Colonial Church of Edina. Private interment. Memorials preferred to Augustana Open Circle, 34 10th Ave S, Hopkins, MN 55343.
