Alderson, Stephen Richard Age 81, of Minneapolis, died Oct. 14, 2017. Son of Anthony Donald (Don) and Mary Alderson (Root). Steve is survived by his bride, Annette (Truso); sisters, Marianne Leighton (Chuck) and Martha Nicholas (Don); sons, Stephen Jr. (Lourdes), David (Irene), Robert (Angeles), and Keith; and grandchildren J. Stephen, Alana, Bryant and Kylie. Steve was a geographer by education and worked as a transportation planner with Barton-Aschman Associates, the Metropolitan Council and MnDOT. An avid reader of books on history, science, and philosophy, he loved diverse music and the Boundary Waters Canoe Area. A private memorial service for the family and a life celebration for friends and family will be held in November. Friends and colleagues please contact the family in the next two weeks for details.
