Burcham, Barbara Ann passed away peacefully in her home with her best friend Deb, nephew Michael J. Fitzgerald and her three dogs: Sunshine, Sophie & Sandy by her side on October 16, 2017. She was born December 2, 1947 in Minneapolis, Minnesota to Harry Anthony Brisky and Mildred Lois Farnham. She moved to Norman, OK in 1990 and had resided there since. She is survived by her brother: John F. Brisky and Judy of Lutsen, MN and many, many, nieces and nephews. Barb has said countless times: "I was given this wonderful gift on earth and now I have to give it back. I was a lucky woman who led a lucky existence and I am grateful." Barb's servant heart and charitable giving was vast; Norman and South Oklahoma City Chambers of Commerce, Rotary, Full Circle Adult Center, Second Chance, the list is endless. In February Barb got sick with cancer so instead of being sad or mad she decided to be joyful about having had a wonderful full life, yet God still gave her enough time to say goodbye to all her family and friends, before he took her home with Him. She was happy and at peace to take her mortal leave of God's green earth and His wide oceans that she loved so much. We will meet again joyfully on the other side. Homecoming celebration will be 6pm Friday, Oct. 20, 2017, at Primrose Funeral Service Chapel 1109 N Porter Ave, Norman, OK. Bright colored, beach inspired attire is encouraged to honor Barb's memory. Barb requested a few daisies and many donations to Second Chance Animal Sanctuary, 4500 24th Ave NW, Norman, OK 73069. Services have been entrusted to Primrose Funeral Service.
