Zellmer, Craig A. Dear son, brother, husband, father, passed away on October 13, 2017, from pancreatic cancer. Craig was born July 19, 1960, in St. Paul to Richard Sr. and Margaret (Basch) Zellmer. He graduated from Johnson High School in 1978. While attending Bemidji State University, Craig met his future wife, Karla Warner. They were married June 16, 1984, in Long Prairie, Minn. Their son, Matthew, was born in 1986 and daughter, Meghan, was born in 1990. Craig was very proud of both his children and all their accomplishments. While a student at BSU, Craig began working part time at UPS, then became a UPS delivery driver. After several years, he became a supervisor at UPS, then was promoted to business manager. He worked in UPS facilities in Bemidji, Fergus Falls, Brainerd/Wadena, Minneapolis, Eagan, and Maple Grove. After 33 years of service, he retired from UPS in July 2015. During retirement, Craig was a volunteer at the Science Museum of Minnesota, taught AARP Driver Safety Courses, assisted with the UPS Road Code classes, and was an assistant Special Olympics floor hockey coach. Craig loved to travel and took many vacations with family and friends over the years. He was especially thankful for 2017 trips to Cancun; Portland, OR; Baltimore; and Switzerland. Craig was preceded in death by his father, Richard Sr., brother, Robert "Tony," sister-in-law Melinda Zellmer, and mother-in-law, Janet Warner. He is survived by his wife, Karla and children, Matthew and Meghan; mother, Margaret Zellmer; siblings, Rose (Michael) Marsh, Randy (Jodi) Zellmer, Paul (Kristie) Zellmer, Christine (Brent) Michalski, and Richard Jr. (Julie) Zellmer; his father-in-law, Roger Warner; brothers-in-law, Greg (Ann) Warner and Jeff Warner; many dear nieces and nephews, aunts, uncles and Basch and Zellmer cousins. He also leaves many close friends who mourn his loss and the "chance to grow old together". A visitation will take place Thursday, Oct. 19 from 4-8 p.m. at Willwerscheid Funeral Home, 1167 Grand Ave., St. Paul. A funeral mass will take place on Friday, Oct. 20 at 10 a.m. at Assumption Church, 51 W. 7th St., St. Paul. Private interment in the Miller Family plot in St. Mary's Cemetery in White Bear Lake will take place at a later date.
