Decker, Shirley (nee Nordin) Age 87. Native Saint Paulite. Preceded in death by her loving husband of thirty years, Donald, thirty years ago. Survived by sons Karl; Roy (Denise) & their children Dominic, Donna, Donovan, & Donelle; first cousins Fae Grundmeier, Irene Shoen, Evelyn Casserly, Cynthia Maggio, & Carol Saia; relatives & friends. Central High School; BA from U of MN in Music. Lifelong violinist and pianist: four years with the Atlanta Symphony; Concertmaster at Lakewood College for many years; member of both St. Paul and Minneapolis Civic Orchestras; the Nicollet [did weddings], Wayside, and other Quartets. Member of Sigma Alpha Iota and Thursday Musical. Music was her joy, and shared joy. Tended her flowering gardens daily. Interested in and cared for Nature. Spoke Norwegian. Signed all Ramsey County birth certificates around 1960. Many friends, especially musical ones. Visitation and Music 4-7PM Wed. 10/18 at WULFF FUNERAL HOME, 1485 White Bear Ave, St. Paul, and 10AM until the time of service on Thurs. at the Church.
