Doerr, David Allen Age 68, died on Tuesday, September 19, 2017 after a struggle with cancer. He is survived by his wife, Cindy; his daughter Susan and her husband Eric Strickland; his daughter, Nicole Toussaint; his son, Dan and his wife Krissy; three grandchildren, Samuel, Caelyn & Landon; his brother, Daniel and his wife Dianne; his sister, Vonceal and her husband Barry Kubler; as well as many nieces & nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents, Daniel & Marguerite along with his first wife, Deborah. After serving in the Navy, David attended college at UCLA. Following graduation, he began a career in tax accounting and later in life worked in the transportation industry. He loved sports and could be found most weekends watching football. In winter time he enjoyed skiing with his grandson, Sam and summer days were spent playing golf. David was an active member of his church and volunteered with the youth group there as well as with students at Trinity Lutheran School in Minneapolis. A memorial service will be held Saturday, September 23rd at GOOD SHEPHERD LUTHERAN CHURCH (1 Shepherd Ct., Circle Pines) at 11 AM. Visitation will be one hour prior with lunch following.
