Pat was born in Anoka, MN on April 19, 1934. At age 8, she and her family moved to Hibbing, MN and later on to Keewatin, MN where she attended R. L. Downing High School. They moved to Fargo, ND where Lee attended classes at NDSU while Pat worked as a psychiatric nurse at St. Ansgar Hospital in Moorhead, MN. Her nursing career was put on hold while she raised their three children, but never one to sit idle, Pat spent her spare time volunteering with local senior citizen groups and on the board of the YMCA/YWCA where she was nominated for the 'Woman of the Year' award. She was also an active member of Gethsemane Episcopal Cathedral. Pat loved to travel, bake, play cards and other games. She had an incredible memory and was a much-sought-after partner in the game 'Trivial Pursuit'. She enjoyed spending summers at the family home on Pokegama Lake and winters in Arizona where she and Lee enjoyed spending time with their family and many friends.
